The design provides for a fast descent away from danger that requires virtually no effort from the user. Once inside the chute system the user need not do anything else; whatever body size, shape, weight or physical condition. Best of all, unlike other evacuation systems, there are NO moving parts or mechanisms that could malfunction or fail when needed most. The FoxxHole™ system is engineered specifically for the rugged environments found in the energy industry. Exposure to UV rays, contact with petroleum chemical products, snow & ice build-up, extreme environment temperatures (hot or cold), winds up to 60 knots (69 MPH), etc., do not reduce the FoxxHole™ system’s effectiveness. The system uses the simple and ever-present force of gravity to best effect. Once inside the chute, the evacuee is accelerated down and away from the launch point at speeds of 7-10 m/sec (22.9 - 32.8 ft/sec). While inside the evacuee is fully shielded from fire, heat, smoke, fluids, and small debris that may be ejected from the well bore.
